For some reason (probably nothing on TV boredom) I decided that I should check out one of the camera’s I bought at Christmas time in 2008. I was able to find it in my pile of cameras that I don’t use anymore cabinet. I was also able to find the charger and the batteries so I charged one up overnight and found that the camera was in working order. There was one image on the SD card from June 23, 2014 so it’s been almost 5 years since I used it.

Things that I have learned:

  • The latest version of lightroom still can read the raw images from the camera.
  • Having a smaller 10 mp sensor means that it processes a lot faster than the bigger 24 mp images I process now.
  • The images hold up pretty well over time especially when just converting for use on the web.
